Team France has announced their squad for the 2026 Olympic Games in Milan. This will be the first time NHL players have competed in the Olympics since 2014.
Because the men’s tournament started on February 11, 2026, teams were given a deadline of December 31, 2025 to submit their selections. Team France will look to claim their first Olympic medal in hockey. France have participated ten times before, with their most recent appearance in 2002.
The attackers of Team France
Justin Addamo, Pierre-Édouard Bellemare, Charles Bertrand, Louis Boudon, Kevin Bozon, Stéphane Da Costa, Aurélien Dair, Floran Douay, Dylan Fabre, Jordan Perret, Anthony Rech, Nicolas Ritz, Alexandre Texier, Sacha Treille
France has one current NHL player, Texier. After a good start to his NHL career with the Columbus Blue Jackets, Texier found his way to the Montreal Canadiens, where he played well. He will be the top player of the French team.
Joining Texier are former NHL talents such as Bellemare and Da Costa. Bellemare was a very successful forward in the bottom six positions in the NHL for years, while Da Costa could not find his niche.
Team French defenders
Yohann Auvitu, Jules Boscq, Enzo Cantagallo, Florian Chakiachvili, Pierre Crinon, Hugo Gallet, Enzo Guebey, Thomas Thiry
Auvitu is the only defenseman on the roster with NHL experience after stints with the New Jersey Devils and Edmonton Oilers. He is a good two-way defender and will probably be one of the best options for France.
Chakiachvili has been a fixture in the French league for years. He is a good offensive option and will likely play on the top power play.
Goalkeeping team of France
Julien Junca, Antoine Keller, Martin Neckar
An excellent goalkeeper in several competitions, Junca enjoyed success in the Slovak league over the past two seasons.
France is taking a few young goalkeepers to the tournament. Keller, a seventh-round pick of the Washington Capitals, is still just 21 years old and is finding his way as a professional, and will likely serve as a backup.
Neckar, who is 20 years old, is playing well in a lower Swiss league but will likely serve as a third goalkeeper.
France comes here to impress. They don’t have a star-studded lineup like those filled with North American players, but they do have some quality pieces. As hosts of the 2030 Winter Olympics, they want to get their feet wet, attract attention and be ready for their hosting year.
