With some distance between us and the end of the winter transfer window, it’s time to reassess each club’s set-piece takers.
Of course, it is not just the impact of newcomers that we are looking for. We’ll also be keeping an eye out for any other changes in the pecking order of all 20 Premier League teams.
Here we round up the players taking penalties and set pieces in matchweeks 24-27 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) 2025/26.
This is based on the official Opta data in our Members area.
Our Set-Piece Takers tab has been updated.

NOTES
NEW DRAWINGS IN THE SET-PIECE MIX
Two January newcomers and old Aston Villa boys have been heavily involved since returning to the club. Douglas Luiz (£4.9 million) and Leon Bailey (£5.5m) have taken corners since returning to the West Midlands, and it would be no surprise if Luiz also has to take penalties as the Villans have really struggled from twelve yards. Matty Cash (£4.9m) has only taken one corner in the last five gameweeks as a result of the above.
Another midfielder who returned to his old club last month, Pascal Gross (£5.5m), picking up where he left off during his first spell at Brighton. He has taken at least one corner in each of the last six Gameweeks.
No surprise that perhaps the Premier League’s best dead-ball expert, James Ward-Prowse (£5.6m), also claimed the ball while on the pitch for Burnley, although he is still awaiting his first league start.
from Crystal Palace Brennan Johnson (£6.5m) and Sunderland’s Jocelin Ta Bi (£5.0 million) and Nilson Angulo (£5.0m) have all also taken indirect set plays for their new clubs. It remains to be seen whether they can establish themselves as regular starters amid stiff competition in the wider area.
CRIMINAL SURVEILLANCE

Many of the penalty takers in the last four Gameweeks are well-known first choices.
But there are even more notable names who have risen from 40 feet.
Ismail Sarr (£6.4m) did just that in Gameweek 24, although Palace had Jean-Philippe Mateta (£7.5m) absent and yet to sign Jorgen Strand Larsen (£6.2 million). Both of the above could be above Sarr in the pecking order.
The now injured one Bruno Guimaraes (£6.9m) scored from the spot in Gameweek 25, although again a regular Anthony Gordon (£7.2 million) was missing. Nick Woltemade (£6.8 million) was present, however.
Enzo Le Fee (£4.9m) made up for his Panenka shocker in Gameweek 21 by scoring from the spot last weekend. He has now taken all four of Sunderland’s penalties in the Premier League this season, scoring three of them.
However, it is not that simple, as Le Fee himself said back at the start of the season That Habib Diarra (£5.3m) would take next. A combination of injury, international duty and an early substitution means Diarra has not yet had a chance in the competition, but he did recently score from twelve yards in the FA Cup.
Finally, poor old one Three Arokodares (£5.4 million). The Wolves forward missed from the spot in Gameweek 27, his fifth consecutive penalty failure. Don’t expect him to be entrusted with responsibility again.
Hwang Hee-chan (£5.6m), who took the previous Wolves penalty, was on the injured list for that game.
