Alejandro Garnacho (£ 6.4 million) completed his transfer from Manchester United to Chelsea last week.
In accordance with Chelsea’s transfer policy to only bring in the youth, the young Argentinian became the 10th signing for the blues this summer. As almost exclusively a left wing, Garnacho will add depth in an area that wanted to strengthen Enzo Maresca.
In this moving goalpiece we rate the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Appeal from Garnacho after his move to West London.
The move in quotes
“It is an incredible moment for my family and I to become a member of this great club. I can’t wait to start. I watched the club World Cup and to become a member of the World Champions is special – we are the best team in the world! It’s great to be here and I am very happy.” – Alejandro Garnacho
“If we are looking for a winger, we are looking for someone who is a good one-V-one and who can attack and create something. Jamie Gittens Is that profile, and we will see with Garnacho. He is a good winger in one-versus one and he can create things. This is the way I see things. ‘ – Enzo Maresca

Garnacho, born in Madrid in 2004 from a Spanish father and the Argentinian mother, was part of the youth arrangement of Atletico Madrid from 2015 until Manchester United collected him in 2020 for £ 420,000.
Garnacho joined the Academy and signed his first professional contract with them in 2021. He was remarkably productive during this period, and contributed 23 goals and 10 assists at various youth levels and winning the FA Youth Cup in the 2021/2022 season, scored twice in the final.
He made his senior team debut in 2022 and scored his first goal shortly thereafter in the Europa League, assisted by his Idol Cristiano Ronaldo.
The 2022/23 season would be his outbreak because he had 12 target contributions in all competitions and appeared at a number of big moments during the campaign, despite an injury.
In his second full season in United, Garnacho became a fixture under Erik ten Hag. He won the FIFA Puskás Award and the Premier League goal of the season for his 15-Yard bicycle shovel against Everton, and scored the opener in the FA Cup final against Manchester City-Werd The first teenager since Cristiano Ronaldo in 2004 to score the final to score.
The 2024/25 season turned out to be a challenge for the 21-year-old, with United Wrestling and his minutes reduced by new boss Ruben Amorim. Nevertheless, he still registered 11 goals and 10 assists in all competitions.
The Argentinian made its international debut in 2023 and was part of the Argentina team that the Copa America won in 2024. He has made eight caps for his national team so far and has played alongside Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez (£ 6.6 million).
His move to Chelsea is reportedly in the making since January.
Playing style
Garnacho is an energetic wing player with enormous speed and dribbling options, and his direct approach can interrupt defenders. He can also contribute to creativity and casual creation and is dangerous in the opposition box.

Garnacho mainly works as a left wing and has so far had a lot of Premier League experience in his career-value ear 144 senior performances for United at just 21.
His output is respectable in view of the struggles of United in recent years – 27 career goals (one every 5.3 games) and double digits in each of the last two seasons. He scored six times in the competition last year, even when United finished 15th.
From an FPL perspective, he returned 131 points in 2023/24 and 106 in 2024/25, the last figure limited by reduced minutes towards the end of the campaign.
Garnacho, a tireless presser, won the possession in the last third part more than any other United player last season. Yet his end product remains inconsistent: 84 Schoten only produced a conversion rate of 7.1% (fourth worst under shootings with high volume), and he only delivered two of the 16 big chances of the second worst record in the competition last season.
Chelsea -Baas Maresca will hope that these inefficiencies will fade while he is developing, with competition from Jamie Gittens (£ 6.3 million) On the left wing may push Garnacho to reach a new level.
Where does Garnacho fit in Chelsea?

The signing of Garnacho seemed important for Maresca, because the Italian emphasized the need for a new left wing during a press conference in August.
The blues have now drawn two new left wings, and then Tyrique George‘s (£ 4.9 million) transfer to Fulham fell on at the last minute, it seems that there will be sufficient competition for minutes in the forward positions for Chelsea.
A 4-3-3 fan, Maresca insists that his goalkeeper comes alongside defenders to join their deep passing sequences. At the same time a full-back-omkeers to make a double midfield pivot.
Maresca has already stamped his playing style on this young Chelsea side, built around structured property, reverse full-backs and aggressive urgent high on the field. His system gives priority to width, liquid rotations in midfield and sharp transition game.
Garnacho is a natural fit for the Chelsea system. Playing mainly on the left, his pace and dribbling enable him to stretch defenses and exploit space, especially with reverse full-backs Malo likes it (£ 5.0 million), Marc Cucurella (£ 6.1 million) and Reece James (£ 5.5 million) – give him room to operate wide.
His urgent intensity is equally valuable, Last season United led in high sales and came in perfectly in accordance with the approach of Maresca for foot.
Is Garnacho worth buying in FPL?

The Argentinian has already lowered its prize as a result of not performing in one of the MatchDay squadrons from United so far this season. For £ 6.4 million, although he could be a hidden gem.
Depending on your optimism for how he continues at Chelsea, Garnacho offers a new attacking threat to Chelsea and if he touches the ground, he can become a normal player on that left. Depth is perhaps something that Chelsea already has, but a reliable out-and-out winger on the left is not, as we have seen Pedro Neto (£ 7.0 million) on that side are deployed, even though it is not his favorite position.
If Garnacho can improve his shot conversion, he has the potential to be a great choice. A more structured system can be the key to unlock its power.
The most important question is end product. Maresca relies on his wing players for goals and assists, and when Garnacho improves his finish, he has the potential to become the most important left -sided threat from Chelsea. Competition from Gittens and George should push him further, but his dynamics and ability to stimulate transitions mean that he will probably play a key role.

The upcoming luminaires of Chelsea are generally favorable, apart from game week 7 against Liverpool. The two -week international break for their match against Brentford, those who have not been included in their national team Squadrons will take the time to settle.
Because of his limited minutes, Garnacho was not called by Argentina and trains on Cobham, so he was able to perform against Brentford in Gameweek 4, probably as a replacement.
Fresh of his transfer can be motivated Garnacho to impress his former club Manchester United in Gameweek 5.
The sensible approach is to wait and see how he adapts, and Gameweek 9 can be a more reliable entry point for FPL -Squadrons, so we have enough time to assess the situation of far.
