FPL Family’s Sam: Time for a Recovery!

It was a difficult start of the season for Sam van Family. Here she talks about how she deals, her plans for Gameweek 4 and what now it is time for a recovery.

Blimey, the last two game week have been difficult.

After a considerable start of Gamweek 1, I have not been able to take a break since then. I played Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (£ 5.0 million) In Gameweeke 1 and 2 for his lack of returns, but then to bank he for his Gameweek 3 -Trek. The Double Nottingham Forest defense has also been a constant frustration. Now with the appointment of Ange Postecoglou. It feels like an even worse decision. Moreover, I have not yet been able to grab a Captainincy call.

All this has had a huge impact on me.

Normally I spend the international breaks that are fully engaged in what the competitions mean for my FPL team. This time I decided it was time to put my team aside for a few weeks and to breathe. When FPL goes well, it feels like you are driving at the top of the Golf. There is an adrenaline str ‘when a player scores or keeps a clean leaf. And there is an eagerness to check Livefpl for the impact on the overall rank.

If FPL bites back!

But when FPL goes wrong, the opposite is true. Rayan Ait Nuri (£ 6.0 million) who is injured for a one-pointer, followed by giving him back a zero pointer the following week, is so frustrating. Especially with him now for Gameweek 4. That, in combination with the non -captain of the highest scoring player in my team, but this season all my decisions have arranged me again.

So on the way to Gamweek 4 during the international break, I stopped. I watched football for fun and not as a recruitment FPL manager! I looked at the data to prepare for the FPL Pod, but only apply it to my own team on Thursday afternoon. When I opened the app then it was with excitement instead of a nervousness about the potential for a new disappointing week. This week I feel positive.

Further

With the feeling that I have a mountain in the coming weeks, I was excited to get acquainted with a new FFS tool. You may remember at the end of last season that we had a ‘packed’ tool that gave you details about your season. It included things like Chip analysis, how your overall rank was won (and lost!) And your player history, among other things.

During the international break, the boys compiled a summary of the FPL season. This page is updated to show you an accurate assessment of your season. At the moment the mine looks a mess, but it is strange motivating.

I think looking at the upward trend that holds in the coming weeks, will be a very nice way to show my recovery! And of course, if I play my chips, it will also give me a real boost from their success.

GameWeek 4

So, with a determination to correct that trend with an upward, we go to Gameweek 4.

I hoped to get through this game week without a hit, and that is possible. I could just bench Ait-Nouri and play instead Maxim de Cuyper (£ 4.5 million) or Reinildo sent (£ 4.0 million). However, this week I am not especially fond of both games as far as clean sheets are going. So that leaves me with one of the two options:

  • Sales Ait-Nouri and invest in the Arsenal defense with Gabriel (£ 6.1 million)
  • Bench the Stadsman and sale instead of the Cuyper for Mark Senesi (£ 4.6 million)

Both incoming players look great and could do well in game week 4. Both would be for a -4 as I already brought in Daniel Munoz (£ 5.6 million) this week. Senesi has the advantage of the defensive contributions, which have already registered 43, which is the joint of any other defender in the game. Brighton will certainly attack and I see him picking up the extra two points again. This would therefore cancel the hit and make all the clean record points extracted. Moreover, outside Jurrien Timber, he is also the highest scoring defender in the game.

Arsenal has been waterproof this season, with the exception of the goal admitted in Liverpool. With the attacking threat of Gabriel and with Forest admitted with 11 attempts from set pieces, he could be for a good return to the early kick -off.

I will probably take the hit – but which player may need some thought for the deadline.
