Hugo Ekitike (£ 8.5 million) and Antoine Semenyo (£ 7.0 million) draws, a late Mohamed is wrong (£ 14.5 million) goal and early substitutions for Jeremie Frimpong (£ 6.0 million) and Milos is coming (£ 6.0 million): There was much to analyze from the opening day of Liverpool over Bournemouth.
We discuss the most important Fantasy Premier League (FPL) points from Anfield below.
Lock on why Frimpong + Kerkez was immersed
Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez made their Premier League debut for Liverpool on Friday.
With the hosts who lead 2-0, both full-backs were recorded just before the hour.
Frimpong was surprisingly replaced by Wataru Endo (£ 5.0 million). Arne Slot later revealed that Frimpong “had felt his hamstring during the break”, without risks.
“That was not out of luxury. That was because Jeremie Frimpong felt his hamstring during the break and made a lot of sprints. He did reasonably well, but the other right back Conor Bradley is already out with an injury, so we don’t want to take the risk of losing a full-back.” – Arne Slot
Meanwhile, Kerkez was caught several times by the Liverpool left flank and had already been booked, so it was no surprise that he was replaced by Andrew Robertson (£ 6.0 million).
“Our left back, Milos Kerkez, is a player I think the fans like-for each duel he goes all the way in! But if you already have a yellow card and you mirror, that is quite a concern.” – Arne Slot
Even before the Subs, Liverpool looked vulnerable at the back, as was the case with Wembley last week.
Given how susceptible they were to the counterattack, you would expect one Dominic (£ 6.5 million) or Alexis Mac Allister (£ 6.5 million) to stop for Ryan Gravenberch (£ 5.5 million) Next week.
In terms of Virgil van Dijk (£ 6.0 million), he may not be at his highest level now, but this was a better show than at Wembley. He had a few attempts and made 20 defensive contributions, including 17 (!) Clearance.
Ekitike Superb
After finding the network in last week’s community, Ekitike scored again on Friday, his first home goal for the club.
In an excellent all -round display, he later claimed the assist Cody Agat‘s (£ 7.5 million) strike to a total of 11 points.
He could also have added more goals to his count, after he had achieved four shots, including two big opportunities, in 71 minutes of football.
This heat map shows the movement of Ekitike against Bournemouth:

Ekitike often fell deeply to link the game before Ekitike discussed his role – and specifically what lock asked him – after the game.
“Yes, I think it’s natural. I have also changed my way to play here because I think it is also a different football, with more intensity. The defenders are stronger and we have a tight space here. I had so much more space in Germany. [enough to be] ‘Good’ more and we just have to get better. “ – Hugo Ekitike
About his decision to withdraw Ekitike at 71 minutes, said Slot:
“He came later in the preseason, he has to adapt-because I think I can say that Liverpool is a larger club than Frankfurt. The competition is probably also more intense, so for him to play 70 minutes is a big bonus after being here for two or three weeks. So that’s where we have lost some players at the moment.” – Arne Slot
Elsewhere, Florian Wirtz (£ 8.5 million) had a quieter night, but showed a glimpse of what he is capable of, because he almost scored in front and created three chances.
Late Salah –
Salah left it late, but the lighting of many sealed the victory in injury time.
Captain by 3.6 m FPL managers, the Egyptian had previously tested Djordje Petrovic (£ 4.5 million) with a nice shot from just within the penalty box, which the goalkeeper of Bournemouth dealt with.
It continues Salah’s great game week 1 -record. It is remarkable that he is still never empty.
Prior to the Salah strike, replace Federico Chiesa (£ 6.5 million) had restored Liverpool’s lead.
Semenyo makes an impression
As for Bournemouth, they were difficult opponents for Liverpool, because they offered a constant threat to the counterattack.
Although their talent was attacked in the summer, Semenyo hit a shot over the bar in the first half, but quickly made up for an excellent second half of the second half.
Andoni Iraola handed over first starts with Petrovic, Bafode Diakite (£ 4.5 million) and Adrien Truffert (£ 4.5 million) at Anfield.
The trio produced promising displays, in particular Center-Back Diakite, which only arrived from Lille on Wednesday.
A quick word about Marcus Tavernier (£ 5.5 million) too. It was used in a box-to-box role and therefore made 20 defensive contributions.
Elsewhere, Budget Options James Hill (£ 4.0 million) and Ie Junior Kroup (£ 4.5 million) were both benched, but were introduced late as replacements.
Now that the trip to Liverpool is out of the way, the cherries are about to start a very decent run:
