Donyell Malen (£ 5.1 million) scored twice as Aston Villa Burnley with 2-1 on Sunday.

Malen Central
Donyell Malen proved the difference for Aston Villa on Sunday, while the side of Unai Emery insured their fourth consecutive victory in all competitions.

Watkins suppressed early/bogarde ‘oop’
On a hat trick, Emery chose to replace Watkins instead, because the international England only lasted 66 minutes in Villa Park.
He had previously wasted a considerable opportunity to double the lead of Villa and shot up close.
The shape of Villa starts to take up, but with matches against Tottenham Hotspur (A), Manchester City (H) and Liverpool (A) after the international break, those who still possess Watkins will certainly want to move him.
As far as Rogers is concerned, he looked much sharper than in recent weeks. It is now back-to-back assists for the 23-year-old.
Elsewhere £ 4.0 million defender Lamare Bogarde Impressed in the central midfield, with Emery looking out for praise in his interview after the game.

On the front of the injury, Amadou Onana (£ 4.8 million) and Ross Barkley (£ 4.8 million) Both made their respective return as substitutes, but Emiliano Buendia (£ 5.3 million) was forced with a head injury late.
Creative Hartman
Burnley has to win another point from home in 2025/26, after he had admitted a competition-strict 13 goals while playing on the road.
Quilindschy Hartman (£ 4.0 million), however, is still ways to impress.
It was his excellent cross on Sunday, who found replacement Lesley Bush (£ 5.0 million), who steered his header vigorously in the net.

Elsewhere, Jaidon Anthony (£ 5.7 million) had blocked an early shot, but was largely not effective and replaced at 59 minutes, while central midfielders Josh Cullen (£ 5.0 million) and Florentino Luis (£ 5.0 million) Both claimed defensive contribution (Defcon) points.
Florentino has now hit the Defcon threshold in each of his three starts for Burnley.
Hjalmar Ekdal (£ 4.0 million) was now absent in the MatchDay team, where the interviews after the Scott Parker match had not called for an answer about his place of residence.
