The disastrous 2024/25 season of Man Utd ended with a 15th-placed domestic finish and defeat in the UEFA Europa League final.
In an attempt to improve things, in particular the column with the objectives, Bryan Mbeumo (£ 8.0 million) and Matheus Cunha (£ 8.0 million) both were signed earlier this summer, and now the club has closed a deal with RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko.
Mbeumo and Cunha combined last season for 35 goals and 16 assists (OPTA and Fantasy) in the Premier League.
Although they were two of the best expected goals (XG) overprersion, they will certainly add something to United’s attack.

No European Football
The lack of European football from United in 2025/26 should help them in the Premier League.
Ruben Amorim has indeed already outlined the benefits of playing not in Europe by saying that he can prepare his team well every week.
Hopefully it should lead to a more fixed XI, because United seems to bounce back.

Last season was a total disaster for United.
They were defeated in 18 of their 38 Premier League matches, registered a negative target difference (-10) and collected only 42 points because they had not adapted to Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 formation.
They were particularly bad at Old Trafford, with a total of nine defeats.
