Dricus Du Plessis has the best chance of beating Khamzat Chimaev by dragging the unbeaten Chechen Monster in the later rounds.

At least, that’s what former UFC Middleweight Champion Luke Rockhold thinks.

“Khamzat is very good at wrestling, very good on the floor, very good in pressure,” Rockhold said The Schmo During a recent interview. “The lifespan of the fight has not been his best approach. He will not leave DDP. So unless Khamzat comes early, it will be difficult. If he does not leave him early, it is a DDP type fight.”

Rockhold has spent time with both Du Plessis and Chimaev. At the end of last year, Rockhold was involved in a short struggling match with ‘Borz’ while serving as a coach in the reality show of Hardcore Fighting Championship, related to the ultimate hunter.

It didn’t go well for Rockhold.

There is more than gold on the line between Dricus du Plessis and Khamzat Chimaev on UFC 319

After successfully defending his 185-pound Kroon against both Israel Adesanya and Sean Strickland, ‘DDP’ will come across his toughest test when he meets Chimaev in the UFC 319 Headliner on Saturday 16 August in Chicago. Both hunters collide with unbeaten records in the Octagon. Chimaev has so far been 8-0 under the UFC banner, with all except for two of his victories in the distance.

In the meantime, Du Plessis has gone an unlikely 9-0, including four knockouts of Hoog-Reel and a few submissions.

As it looks now, Chimaev is a favorite of -200 to leave the Windy City with his first world title. It is a well -known position for Du Plessis, who went six UFC fights as an underdog.
