Paul was set to box Gervonta Davis, but the fight was canceled after ‘Tank’ was accused of battery, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping and intentional infliction of emotional distress in a civil lawsuit filed by ex-girlfriend Courtney Rossel.
After Paul and his promotion canceled the fight, dos Santos took to social media to call for the fight.

“Jake Paul, Jake Paul, my god, man,” Junior dos Santos said on X. “You’re choosing fights again, you’re choosing easy fights again. Come on, I thought you were past this stage of your career, but it looks like I was wrong. I saw you challenge Francis Ngannou for that boxing fight, and it looks like it’s not interesting for him. I have to give you credit in a boxing match, I think you would put up a good fight against him, he has a lot of power, but he’s slow, man. That’s the truth.”

Junior dos Santos is the former UFC Heavyweight Champion and is 23-10 as a professional MMA fighter. He last fought in March 2024 when he defeated Alan Belcher via TKO. dos Santos went 15-8 in the UFC when he won the heavyweight title with a knockout victory over Cain Velasquez in 2011, making one title defense.
As for Jake Paul, he is 12-1 as a professional boxer and scored a decision victory over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in June. He has notable victories over the likes of Tyron Woodley, Nate Diaz, Ben Askren, Mike Tyson and Mike Perry.
