Jonathon Elliott has been appointed assistant coach at Air Force.
Elliott replaces Josh Holmstrom, who served with the staff from 2022 to 2025.
“We are very enthusiastic that Jonathon Elliott joins our staff,” said Air Force head coach Frank Serratore in a statement. “Jon comes in with a great reputation and possesses both university and professional coaching experience. The expertise he brings for the program will enable him to reach the land and have an immediate impact.”
Elliott spent the 2024-25 season as an assistant coach at the Kalamazoo wings of the Echl. While with the wings, Elliott coached the Power-Play unit, helped with recruiting, signing sessions of free agent, skills in the field of ice, planning and implementation practices and meetings, analyzing game images and the development and evaluation of players.
Prior to his time in Kalamazoo, Elliott spent two seasons in Miami. In 2022-23 he was director of hockey activities, where he managed all aspects of travel and planning and led all video recording and editing initiatives. In the 2023-24 season he served as an assistant coach and assisted with practices on IICE, recruitment, reconnaissance reports and academic progress.
He graduated from Saint Mary’s in 2016, he was a four -year -old letterman as an attacker and played in 62 career matches. He served as an assistant coach at his Alma Mater from 2018 to 2022.
