The former American soldier who was suspected of killing four people in a Montana bar was still at the beginning of Sunday in general and can be armed after he escaped a stolen vehicle with clothing and camping equipment, officials said.

Authorities believe that 45-year-old Michael Paul Brown Four people killed On Friday morning in the Owlbar in Anaconda, Montana, about 75 miles (120 kilometers) southeast of Missoula in a valley enclosed by Bergen.

Montana -Procurer -General Austin Knudsen said at a press conference on Sunday that Brown committed the shooting with a gun that according to the police was his personal weapon.

The victims varied in age from 59 to 74 and were a female bartender and three male customers.

Knudsen warned residents in the city of just over 9,000 people who lived Brown, who lived next to the bar where he was a fixed value, to the area.

“This is an unstable person who entered four people in cold blood for no reason and killed. So there is absolutely worry for the public,” said Knudsen.

Numerous public events were canceled during the weekend when the search was taken on the third day according to the local Facebook pages.

Robert Wyatt, 70, said he was neighbors with 70-year-old David Allen Leach, one of the three bar visitors who were killed on Friday morning.

The two men lived next to each other in a public residential complex for the elderly and people with disabilities.

“Everyone is nervous” since Friday, said Wyatt. Leach was deaf and kept himself for himself, said Wyatt, and he only remembers that Leach had a family visit almost a year ago. But Leach was always happy to help his neighbors with chores such as moving furniture.

“If you needed help, Dave would help,” said Wyatt. “He was a good neighbor.”

Researchers are considering all possible options for Brown’s place of residence, said the attorney general. That includes the search for the forest where Brown hunted and camping while he was a child. But Knudsen noticed that during the peak tourist season in west of Montana, some law enforcement officials should return to their local jurisdictions for their regular responsibilities.

Brown served in the army as armor crew member from 2001 to 2005 and deployed in Iraq from early 2004 to March 2005, said Lieutenant -Kolonel Ruth Castro, a spokesperson for the army. Brown was in the National Guard of Montana from 2006 to March 2009, Castro said, and left the military service in the rank of Sergeant.

Brown’s niece, Clare Boyle, told The Associated Press that her uncle has been struggling with mental disorders for years and she and other family members repeatedly sought help.

“This is not just a drunk/high man who gets wild,” she said in a Facebook message. “It is a sick man who does not know who he is sometimes and often does not know where or when he is.”

Knudsen said on Sunday that Brown was known for the local law enforcement before the shooting. It was generally believed that he knew at least some of the victims, considering how close he lived at the bar.

Law enforcement released a photo of Brown from surveillance images that were taken shortly after the fatal shootings. He seemed to be barefoot and in minimal clothing.

But law enforcement now believes that Bruin has dumped the vehicle in which he escaped and another stable that contained camping equipment, shoes and clothing in it – leaving the possibility open that Bruin is now dressed.

The last time that law enforcement saw that Brown was Friday afternoon, but there was “some confusion” because several white vehicles were involved, said Knudsen.

There is a reward of $ 7,500 for all information that leads to the recording of Brown.

“This is still Montana. Montanans know how to take care of themselves. But please, if you have observations, call 911,” said Knudsen.
