Forget the Ford F -150, buy this green Mazdspeed Protege Sema -Build -Jalopnik instead

If you hate external visibility, but like small old ladies who just cross the street, the US has many gigantic trucks and SUVs that you can choose from. However, if you want to drive a little smaller and easier that still has a truck bed, your options are really only the Ford Maverick and Hyundai Santa Cruz. Both are still quite large, and neither offers a two -door option. The good news is that you don’t have to despair. Instead, you can simply buy this Ballistic Unlimited Mazdspeed transport based on Protege that was originally built for SEMA and is now listed on eBay.

Now you probably can’t drag a train on a mountain with this build, but how many people actually drag trains with their trucks? Precisely. And yes, the bed is quite small and currently filled with NOS tanks, so you can’t bring much back there. It would also not be easy to load things in it, with the wing in the road and such. And without the rear seat there is also only room for one passenger, but come on. This is America. We do not buy trucks to do truck items. We buy trucks to look cool, and this build is infinitely cooler than any Dodge Ram ever was.

Ok, maybe the RAM SRT-10 was almost as cool, because he had a V10, but even the coolest SRT-10 still looks like a normal ram with a cool engine. In the meantime, this protection does not look like any other protege that you have seen on the road. It is probably also greener than any protector you have ever seen, and if there is one thing that Jalopnik loves, they are green cars.

As far as the Build itself is concerned, you will look at a Mazda Protege5 from 2002 that became Pro Design Hotrods in a sports car for the SEMA show of 2005. And it is not just painted green. It is painted house of Kolor Limetime Green. Inside, the cabin is so Sema from the mid -2000s, it hurts, but on the other hand, who could not use a small nostalgia nowadays? Unfortunately I cannot find a specific horsepower figure, but one of the images of the list says that it “has an outlet that sounds like it comes from something with twice as many cylinders and three times the displacement.” So that’s pretty neat. The seller says that it is “not in pristine show condition” and “is sold as it is and what work needs” but promises “it can be recovered quite easily in its show quality.” So at least there is that. It is also not cheap, with a buy now price of $ 28,900, but you could probably be low-ball and see what they say. I mean, what is the worst that could happen? Do you end up a sweet Mazda Protege truck from the 2000S? Oh no, that sounds terrible.
