Los Angeles Dodgers Future Hall of Famer Clayton Kershaw has had enormous success in the past 18 seasons, including three Cy Young Awards, 11 All Star Selections, an MVP and two World Series rings under its many awards. But as his career ends, a few MLB stars have touched the inheritance that the Southpaw leaves behind.
For a long time San Francisco Giants world Madison Bumgarner thinks Kershaw is unparalleled, despite the bitter rivalry between the two ball clubs.

“I think he’s the best pitcher to play ever,” Bumgarner said about Kershaw.
Bumgarner has four All-Star nodding, three World Series-Rings and even a World Series MVP to his name. He was most of his peak in the Cy Young interview, but is remembered because of his reliability and sustainability for the rivals in the north.
Another competitor to cheer Kershaw and his greatness was eight-year-old Arizona Diamondbacks veteran Paul Goldschmidt. The MVP First Honkman has a career .288 stroke average with an OPS of .883 in the past 15 seasons, but in his career with 24 Strikeouts only gone 15-out-67 against Kershaw.
He noted that it was not only his skill on the hill, but the character of Kershaw that also distinguished him from others on the diamond.
“He is, like, my favorite man in baseball,” said Goldschmidt. “My favorite player. I hate to say that about a pitcher. I am kidding, like, I would spend money to buy his sweater.”
Even the current teammate of Goldschmidt with the New York Yankees, Gerrit Cole, took a moment to share his feelings on Kershaw and called him “the greatest left -handed pitcher of all time.” Cole has a CY Young Award and six All-Star nods to its name, in addition to five top 5 finishes in Cy Young voices before the honor is reached in 2023.
The landscape of baseball will be different without Kershaw, and next season the Dodgers will have a selection without Kershaw for the first time since 2008. His contributions to the world of pitching will never be forgotten and his indelible impact will last generations.
