There will be eight racing events for two and three year old trotters and pacers from 11am. Each of the eight races compete for an $8,000 purse.
There is only one horse entered, Prairie Puma (Royel Millennium – Cat Lady), who can beat all five stakes races. The three-year-old filly starts from post two for driver Joseph Fiorello in the third race. She is going for her seventh victory of the season.
The 49-year-old Fiorello, who just started his riding career with Prairie Puma and only has a qualifying/fair racing license, is undefeated with four consecutive wins. Trained by Nicholas Coblentz, she is owned by Dein Spriggs of Jupiter and bred by Laurie Poulin of NY.
Also on winning streaks entering the Florida Breeders Stake are Dances With Gators (Mickey McNichol) in race one going for her fifth straight win, McHungry (Mike Wilder) in race four with a three-race win streak, Jays Gator Boy (Mickey McNichol) in race 7 for his fourth straight win, Gold Lucky Star (Nicholas Coblentz) race eight with a three-race win streak, SL Mon Petite (Marshall Makin) in race two on a two-race win streak and Ugottabkidnme (Marlin Fry) in race three on a two-race win streak.
Then in race six you have three-year-old filly Nola Christian (Mike Wilder) from post two, who is on a four-race win streak, against Sunshine Jet (Nicholas Coblentz) in post one, who is on a two-race win streak.
Admission and parking is free at Sunshine Meadows and the FSBOA provides free racing programs. Fans are urged to bring their own lawn chairs.
