Instructions:
Start with the preparation of the sauerkraut. Bake the finely chopped onion in oil until translucent, then add the rinsed sauerkraut and simmer until tender. Add water if necessary and complete spices the sauerkraut with sugar.
In the meantime, prepare the ingredients for the finishing. Bake the onion, cut into small piecesin oil on low heat. Stir occasionally during cooking, and when it turns golden brown, season of salty and remove from heat.
Then prepare the filling for the potato dumplings. Fry the chopped onion in oil until transparent. Then add the finely chopped (or ground) garlic, smoked paprika, sweet paprika, chili and tomato puree. Fry everything together briefly and then add the tofucrumbled into small pieces with your fingers. Boil everything together and finally season with salt if necessary. If the mixture seems too dry, add a little water.
Boil whole potatoes with skin in salted water until they are done. Then drain the potatoes, peel them, finely grate them and… mix with flour and egg. Form a dough, which should be almost not sticky, roll it out thinly on a floured board and cut into 16 squares. Place a small teaspoon of filling in the center of each square and shape the dough into small dumplings.

Boil them in boiling salted water until they float to the surface. Serve with the prepared sauerkraut and roasted onion.
