First Look at Nike Book 1 “Aurora”

Devin Booker will headline a new era of Suns basketball, the Arizona team now almost completely rebuilt in the wake of a less-than-stellar era around Kevin Durant and later Bradley Beal. While from the standpoint of the Luckily, the overwhelming number of colorways that continue to hit the wire keeps things from getting stale, adding a new option with the just-revealed Nike Book 1 “Aurora.”

Given how many editions of Devin’s signature we’ve seen so far, we can make comparisons between already released versions and the one at hand. In more detail, this registers as almost halfway between the Suns-specific Book 1 “Court Purple” and the nature-inspired Book 1 “Night,” with the “Wild Grape” overtones drawn in line with the former and the iridescent details the latter introduced.

This also marks a moment where the Book 1’s compositional versatility is on full display, as this ‘Aurora’ look shifts to mesh exteriors to contrast the synthetic collar and Swoosh. Take that in the context of the suede, leather, snakeskin, fabric or denim pairs we’ve seen before, and it’s an example where the silhouette’s overall simplistic construction becomes one of its greater assets.
