Final Rookie Report Card: Tight Ends – Dynasty League Football

Throughout the 2025 season, the Rookie Report Card series included 34 of this season’s incoming rookie class. We looked at their performance to date, their potential for the rest of the season, and of course their long-term potential as fantasy assets. Now that we’ve completed the regular season, it’s time for the final grades. I’ve already looked at the quarterback class, and the running backs, and half of the rookie receivers, and then the other half of the receiver class, and now I’m finally rating the tight ends on their overall performance in 2025 and what I think they’ll do in the future.

Colston Loveland, TE CHI

2025 stats: 58 receptions on 82 targets for 713 yards and six touchdowns with one carry for -2 rushing yards.

Regular Season Rookie Report Card: Week 9

If I remember correctly, I thought everyone at the NFL draft was shocked to see Loveland get drafted ahead of Tyler Warren. I was one of the few people who liked Loveland more than Warren, and apparently so did the Bears organization. The NFL draft did not change the minds of fantasy GMs, as Loveland was drafted later than Warren and was taken 12th overall in the rookie drafts. He finished the season 12th in rookie scoring, so Woo-Who, we did it! Among tight ends, he was TE14, but was TE7 after the Bears’ week five. Interestingly enough, we saw four rookies in the tight end top 12 starting in week five. Looking at Ben Johnson’s history of productive tight ends and the draft capital the team sunk into Loveland, he should be a top fantasy producer at the position for years to come.
