We are hours away from possibly one of the most long -awaited launches of 2025. “At 20:00 later today, Ferrari Will reveal the successor to the SF90 Stradale in Milan. We are about to do something big, “the company teased on Instagram.
When Ferrari introduced the SF90 Stradale in 2019, it surprised the exotic car industry with 986 hp (1,000 PS). That output came from a Twin-Turbo 4.0-liter V8 that released 769 hp and 590 pound-foot torque, coupled with three electric motors that added another 217 hp, for a combined, aforementioned 986 hp, or the first road to the 1,000 PS (Pferdestarke) Harrier.
Later the limited production SF90 XX Stradale increased the bar even further, which refined the hybrid system to deliver 1,016 hp with even more extreme aerodynamics and chassis tuning. That model became the most powerful Ferrari ever sold for the street, but the production was covered (799 coupes and 599 spiders), leaving room for a new mainstream flagship.
Feed the car internally known as Codenaam: F173M. While retaining the V8 -hybrid architecture, the successor should probably push that remarkable 1,000 hp marking, closer to the performance area of the XX. That would place the right against the 1,015 hp of Lamborghini Revuelto and ensure that Ferrari is not lagging behind in the hybrid horsepower in the middle of the ship.
Based on the espionage shots that we have seen so far, the outside shows an evolutionary path, which reveals a redesigned front with a rectangular central intake and an integrated front splitter. The hood seems to retain its muscular shape, while the rear new cooling openings and an LED light bar with full width, similar to what we have already seen on the XX model. The posture is sharper with more aggressive Aero, and every detail points to improved efficiency and downforce.
In the cabin, Ferrari could tackle the feedback from the owner, with the possibility that physical controls return to the steering wheel as we saw with the Amalfi, in addition to additional digital instrumentation and a revised dashboardlayout.
The last mystery is the name itself. Will Ferrari hold the SF90 -Badge with a “M” suffix for Modificata, or, like the Roma that becomes the Amalfi, choose a completely new identity? Anyway, tonight’s debut will tell us more, because the F173M will occupy a critical place in the Maranello line-up, in addition to the recently introduced F80 Hypercar and the 296 special, which Ferrari’s high-quality hierarchy explains.
