Feedback thread

Our weekly thread is where you can ask for feedback on your creations. Requests for criticism or feedback outside of this thread violate our Community Guidelines. Additionally, make sure you are posting in good faith. Attempts to circumvent the guidelines for self-promotion or commercial solicitation will result in a ban.

Feedback requesters

Use the following format:

URL:

Goal:

Technologies used:

Feedback requested: (e.g. general, usability, code review, or specific element)

Comments:

Post your site along with your stack and technologies used and get feedback from the community. Please don’t post a link and instead give us some background information about your creation.

Feel free to ask for general feedback or specify feedback in a specific area, such as user experience, usability, design, or code review.

Feedback providers

  • Please post constructive feedback. Simply saying, “That’s good” or “That’s bad” is useless feedback. Explain why.
  • Consider giving specific feedback about the problem rather than the solution. Saying “get rid of the red buttons” doesn’t explain the problem. If you say your site’s success message is red, I think it’s an error, the problem will be resolved. Propose solutions from there.
  • Be specific. Vague feedback rarely helps.
  • Again, focus on the why.
  • Always be respectful
