Almost two decades After a woman from Florida disappeared without a track from her apartment building, the authorities have announced a new break that could breathe in a new life in a previously cold case.

Jennifer Kesse, 24, disappeared from her condo complex in Orlando after leaving on the morning of January 24, 2006 and blended both national and federal researchers while the authorities racing to catch her abductor.

“About an hour and a half in the working day I received a phone call from her work,” Drew Kesse, Jennifer’s father, told Fox News Digital. “And they said,” Hey, Jennifer had a meeting this morning, it’s not like she’s to appear. Do you know where she is? ”

Kesse immediately tried to reach his daughter – trusting a family line that they would always answer each other’s phone calls – but her phone immediately went to Voicemail.

“I knew something was wrong immediately,” said Kesse.

Kesse and his wife, Joyce, quickly made the two -hour drive from their house in Tampa to Orlando, where they found their daughter’s apartment empty with various outfit choices on the bed.

The parents immediately called Orlando police to report Jennifer missing missing.

“They looked around her apartment, shrugged and said:” She probably had a fight with her boyfriend, she will come back, “said Kesse.” They walked away. And that was Jennifer’s last chance. ”

More than a decade later, the family brought a lawsuit against the city of Orlando, Opd and the mayor’s office, referring to a failed investigation into Kesse’s disappearance and applying for documents with regard to the search.

Opd, the city of Orlando and the mayor’s office did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comments.

The lawsuit resulted in the first successful request for records with an ongoing case, with the city handing over more than 16,000 pages with materials about the investigation. Drew Kesse has compiled a team of 13 members of the police – including former American secret service and FBI agents – to continue to promote the search for his daughter.

In November 2022, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) took over the case, with any leads in Kesse’s disappearance that ultimately gets cold.

Until last month, when Kesse received a phone call from FDLE and told him that researchers had obtained new DNA evidence and, with the help of a list composed by the Kesse team, limited their interesting people.

“[FDLE] Said that they no longer consider Jennifer’s case as cold, “said Kesse.” It is active. They are on what they have to do and they really believe that they are getting somewhere. ”

FDLE refused Fox News Digital’s request to comment, referring to the current investigation.

Kesse attributes the break in the case to his own team of researchers and new technology that removes previous roadblocks with regard to evidence.

The team asked NASA to improve security images and revealed that Jennifer’s car was removed from her apartment complex on the day of her disappearance, three days later on a separate Condo parking space a mile away on the road, with the face of the driver hidden by a nearby gate where the vehicle was found.

“We have a film of that [car] Parked, “Kesse told Fox News Digital.” A person stays in for 32 seconds, gets out and walks away. ”

Kesse hopes that the use of artificial intelligence researchers will lead to identify the person important.

Moreover, two witnesses previously reported that Jennifer and a man fought while they were on the front seat of her black Chevy Malibu. Records obtained by the family also indicated that the hood of Jennifer’s vehicle was covered with dust from the current construction in her apartment and indicated signs of a battle.

“A non-ignored person is important and possible suspect was photographed Jennifer Kesse’s vehicle and walked away. The non-mischievous person was approximately 5-foot-3 to 5-foot-5 and wore white clothing similar to a painter or a manual employee,” one Missing persons flyer Of the FDle says. “Prior to the disappearance of Kesse, she had complained about some construction workers who worked on her apartment complex and made her uncomfortable.”

For now, the family is full of excitement for new information that can possibly reveal what happened to Jennifer.

In the light of the disappearance of Jennifer, the Florida house of representatives unanimously brought the Jennifer Kesse and Tiffany Sessions Mission Persons Act ‘good, fundamental reforming how missing persons in Florida are examined by legal enforcement authorities that they are written for the treatment of such things.

“Until the authorities have finally set [Jennifer’s disappearance] Hopefully, hopefully, we will continue to work very quickly, “Kesse told Fox News Digital.” We will continue with the authorities, hopefully to bring her home one day. ”
