Quarterbacks

Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys

Dak Prescott will perform in Week 17 and help decide fantasy championships.

The Cowboys face the Commanders, the seventh easiest matchup for opposing quarterbacks this week, and Washington’s defense has been consistently beaten through the air all season.

With significant uncertainty at quarterback for Washington, Dallas should control time of possession and give Prescott plenty of opportunities to attack downfield.

Confidence level: Top 10 QB

Tyler Shough, New Orleans Saints

Tyler Shough has quietly been the QB7 over the past four weeks, averaging 19 fantasy points per game.

This week, Shough draws the sixth-easiest matchup for fantasy quarterbacks. Additionally, the Saints face the easiest matchup for wide receivers, and Shough and Chris Olave have found their groove recently. Olave currently ranks as the WR2 during the fantasy playoffs, behind only Puka Nacua.

The Shough-to-Olave connection should be on full display in the fantasy championship.

Confidence level: Mid-range QB1

Wide receivers

Courtland Sutton, Denver Broncos

The connection between Courtland Sutton and Bo Nix caught fire right before the fantasy playoffs and hasn’t slowed down.

Over the past four weeks, Sutton has been ranked as a PPR WR5, averaging 18.6 PPR points per game. Denver now faces a Chiefs team that will be without Patrick Mahomes and Gardner Minshew, and that will be for a while Kansas City’s defense remains a challenging matchup for wide receivers, the time of possession should give the Broncos opportunities to generate big plays for Sutton.

Confidence level: High-quality WR2

Jauan Jennings, San Francisco 49ers

Jauan Jennings was the WR10 during the fantasy playoffs, averaging 18.4 PPR points per game.

Jennings posted an adjusted target percentage of 20% in Week 16 and saw six targets, third on the team behind George Kittle and Christian McCaffrey. While the matchup against the Bears in Week 16 is a tough matchup, this game has one of the highest totals in Week 17, and with both offenses clicking, Brock Purdy and the 49ers should throw often to keep pace.

Confidence level: Mid-range WR2

Running backs

Michael Carter, Arizona Cardinals

Carter had a disappointing outing in Week 16, finishing with just 6.5 PPR points, but he is coming off a favorable game this week against a Bengals defense that has allowed PPR production to drop at a high level in the league this season.

It’s about the game script, as the Cardinals will likely play from behind, with extra emphasis on Jacoby Brissett checking the ball to Carter early and often. On the plus side, Cincinnati has allowed more than 70 receptions to opposing running backs this season, a top-10 mark in the league.

If Brissett can consistently get Carter involved in the passing game, this will be a potential championship-winning spot.

Confidence level: High-quality RB2

DAndre SwiftChicago bears

The Bears draw the third easiest matchup for running backs in the fantasy championship.

Over the past five weeks, the 49ers have allowed a top-10 reception total to running backs and allowed more than 5 yards per carry, fifth-most in the NFL. Chicago should try to control the game through the short passing attack and the run game, both of which benefit D’Andre Swift in the fantasy championship.

Confidence level: High-quality RB2
