Fangraphs Weekly Mailbag: October 4, 2025

The play -offs go on an exciting start, with three of the four Wild Card series that last the full three games and seven of the 11 games that are not determined more than three runs. We saw an excellent defense in Chicago, an attacking eruption in Los Angeles, and a handful of great starting pitching versions.

The best part is that we have just started. Today all four division series start, which means that we still have a baseball marathon day for us. First we removed a few division offs, set with the Brewers and Cubs before 2:08 pm et in Milwaukee, followed by the Blue Jays and Yankees at 4:08 pm in Toronto. In the third game of the day, Shohei Ohtani Makes his postseason pitching debut against the Phillies; Before he takes the hill, he will, however, at 6:38 pm in the Burger Bank Park’s Batch’s Dox in the box of the Burger Bank Park as the chief of the Dodgers. And then to close it, the Mariners organize the Tigers at 8:38 pm et. As always we will cover all the action here at Fangraphs.
