‘Fake’ Doctor in Madhya Pradesh admitted that he had falsified several degrees, say the police

The police in Damoh of Madhya Pradesh is currently contacting various foreign institutions to verify the claims of alleged fake cardiologist Narendra Vikramaditya Yadav alias Narendra John Camm that he followed medical courses abroad, officers said on Thursday.

Damoh Superintendent or Police Shrutkirti Somvanshi told The Hindu That Mr Yadav, who is accused of the Cardiologist John Camm, who is based in the UK, has a legitimate MBBS degree from the University of Noord-Bengal, but he could not delete the entry test for Master.

Mr Somvanshi said that the accused admitted several other degrees such as Doctor or Medicine (MD) from different Indian universities.

“We spoke with the university authorities and they have confirmed his training data. We also contacted some of his batchgenoten who recognized him,” said Mr Somvanshi.

The officer said that the suspect claimed that after he could not clean up the entrance for the postdoctoral diploma, he followed several conventional courses abroad, such as membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians in London.

“We have written the institutions that he has mentioned and wait to hear from them. We also work to get his foreign travel reports to verify his claims,” ​​said the SP.

Mr Yadav was arrested on 7 April from Uttar Pradesh, days after allegations appeared against him to perform crucial procedures such as angioplasty and angiography in patients in the Mission Hospital Van Damoh who led to multiple deaths.

‘Lab sealed’

In the meantime, the authorities have sealed the heart catheterization laboratory of the Mission Hospital on Thursday, given the “evidence” where Mr. Yadav performed his operations.

However, a district officer said the action was taken after the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) team, which Damoh had visited to investigate the matter, to “serious worries” about the functioning of the laboratory.
