Fairlawn Country Club in Ohio has officially broken ground on a comprehensive $5.5 million improvement project that will enhance key amenities at the historic 350-acre property. Construction began on November 6 and marks one of the most significant investments in the club’s 108-year history.The multi-phase plan introduces a host of new and improved features, including:
– A completely redesigned clubhouse with expanded indoor and outdoor dining options, covered verandas, a central gathering bar and lounge, and indoor and outdoor fireplaces
– A new, modern golf shop
– A dedicated golf simulator lounge for practicing and teaching all year round
– A cocktail lounge and private dining room
– A new Kid’s Club and extensive family-oriented amenities
– A renovated men’s locker room bar
– A redesigned racket complex
– Complete replacement of parking spaces
– A bunker renovation over the golf course
Construction is underway and expected to be completed in spring 2026. The club will remain open throughout the project and only make minor operational adjustments to ensure a smooth and safe construction process.
Developed in collaboration with Welty Building Company and Perspectus Architecture, the project is designed to elevate the member experience while honoring Fairlawn’s centuries-old traditions of community, camaraderie and hospitality. More than 89% of members voted in favor of the plan, a strong sign of support for the club’s vision for the future.
