Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Liverpool do not think they can sign Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace this month.
The well-known and respected Italian journalist has claimed that Liverpool, who won the Premier League title last season, internally believe they will miss Guehi as Manchester City plan to bid for him.
Romano said on his YouTube channel Wednesday evening: “Man City are in need, and today Oliver Glasner said: if we get a good financial proposal and if the player wants to leave, yes, Guehi can leave the club in January.
“So the doors are not closed on a January departure for Marc Guehi. Man City are working on it, Man City are negotiating with Crystal Palace for Marc Guehi, but it is not something that has been done. It is not something we have agreed on.”
“Don’t forget the calls from Bayern. Don’t forget the calls from Liverpool.”
“The situation is changing around Marc Guehi as Bayern and Liverpool are eyeing this opportunity for the summer transfer window.
“Liverpool believes internally that it will be difficult to complete the deal in January.
“But never say never. I would keep everything open about this story because Liverpool got their hands on the player during the summer transfer window.”
“Then the deal fell through, so Liverpool remained interested. Bayern are still there.”
