The father of the Anglo-Nigerian Sterret of Liverpool FC, Rio Chima Ngumoha, has tipped the 16-year-old to break into the first team of the English Premier League Champions, next season, Complete sports.com Can only report.
Rio’s arrival in Liverpool, just a few days after his 16th birthday, was praised as a large coup for the Reds, which made Chelsea furious with their successful move for one of the most gifted young players in England.

Despite the controversy around his transfer, Rio’s arrival in Anfield was received with considerable fanfare because of his exceptional talent. Although still only 16, the skilled winger is accelerated by Liverpool because of his enormous potential.
Instead of being before the U17s, Rio is already an important member of the U21 setup of Liverpool. He opened his Premier League 2 account at the end of April during one of the most crucial matches of the U21s season. Faced with the threat of missing the play-offs of the competition, Rio stepped up with a vital brace to secure a 2-2 draw against Aston Villa.
He made his first team debut for Liverpool in January 2025, starting against Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup. That appearance made him the second-youngest player ever to make his debut for the club.
Exclusively speaking against Completeports.com, Rio’s father, Emeka Ngumoha, expressed the confidence that his son will break in the senior team this season.

“Rio trained a lot last season with the first team and made gigantic progress. With the way he progresses, I am sure it is only a matter of time before he makes his Premier League debut – and as soon as he does, there will be no stopping,” said Emeka Ngumoha.
If Rio plays in the Premier League for Liverpool, he would become the first Nigerian player to play for the Reds in the competition. Jordan Ibe and Taiwo Awoniyi came closest to him, but neither of them appeared a Premier League performance for the club.
