Huldesten flow in for the former NFL player-board member Eddie Garcia after his death at the age of only 65 on Thursday.
The news was released on Tuesday evening by the packers and received an outpouring of emotion from fans in Green Bay that Garcia knew well.
The ex-kicker was prepared by the team in the 10th round in 1982 before he played for the team in 19 games in the 1983 and 1984 seasons.
In 1984 a hamstring injury brought his season briefly and he was abandoned from the end of the campaign, although he remained an important part of the packers in the future.
Before he arrived in the NFL, Garcia was a placekicker for the Smu Mustangs, where he is still bound for the record of total goals of all time (44).
According to the Packers, post-football became a senior director at Oshkosh Defense of the Oshkosh Corporation, and he returned to the team in 2021 when he was chosen on the board of directors.

For the past four years he had served in the Sales and Marketing and Green Bay Packers Foundation committees, which worked well into his 60s.
Garcia’s cause of death has not yet been announced, but a death advertisement shared by the Green Bay Press Gazette described his death as ‘suddenly’.
He is survived by his 40 -year -old wife, Jill, as well as two daughters, Susan and Katherine, and a grandson, Oscar.
On social media, tribute began to come in immediately for the former NFL player, with a lot of writing: “Legend!”
One added: ‘rip to a goat’, while a third noticed: ‘That is too young. TEAR.’
