Ex-Knick Marcus Morris Sr. Arrested on fraud: ‘Lesson learned’

Marcus Morris Sr. Was arrested on Sunday with regard to a fraud, while in Broward County, Florida, online booking records showed.

The NBA player and ex-Knick were picked up on a crime levy of fraud-the writing of a check with insufficient funds, indicating the report that he was being arrested at an airport.

The online record also indicated that the indictment is related to a case in a different state and that he is being held without bond.

Other specific information about the indictment was not immediately available, but in a post on X Morris indicated that the situation was not as serious as it could first appear.

They could have come to the cradle for that. If you hear the real story about this S – t man. Everything I can say will be taught the lesson. Bro will tell you tomorrow.

This is not the first time that Morris has to deal with legal issues.

Morris had entered into a diversion program in 2012 due to a battery charge and was not found guilty of attack costs with regard to a basketball brawl 2015.

Morris played for 13 seasons in the NBA from 2011 until his last performance in the competition in 2024, spent time playing for the rockets, Suns, Pistons, Celtics, Knicks, Clippers, 76ers and Cavaliers.

His most recent stops in the NBA had been to the 76ers and Cavaliers during the 2023-24 season.

Morris played a year with the Knicks during the 2019-2020 season, in which he appeared in 43 games, an average of 19.6 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.

Eventually he became that season at the Trade Deadline on the Trade -Deadline in a deal that came to the Knicks Moe Harkless.

Morris briefly returned to the Knicks last season when he signed a training camp deal on 15 September, but was released less than two weeks later.

Morris had started earlier this year with ESPN’s “First Take”.

Morris had been a former first round Pick when he was selected in 2011.

That year the Rockets used the 14th general choice to take Morris.
