The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) ended up in a new controversy after their recent social media post in honor of India’s versions in the Anderson-Tenderulkar Trophy 2025 Laint Star Battle Kl Rahul, despite his striking performance in the five-match test series.
The franchise of Luckknow Super Giants (LSG) shared a collage of the best moments of India of the English tour, with the attention of skipper Shubman Gill, vice-captain Rishabh Pant, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, and Pacers Mohammed Siraj and Akash Deep. Pant and Akash, who represent both LSG in the IPL, were in the collage several times.

But what attracted attention was the complete absence of Kl Rahul, who had been one of India’s most consistent batters in the Anderson-Detulkar Trophy 2025, in the festive post shared by the Luckknow Super Giants about their social media handles.

Fans agreed with Ganesh’s position and accused LSG to deliberately leave Rahul despite his match-winning versions in the series. Some called the Luckknow Super Giants’ Move ‘Petty’ and ‘Disgusting’.

Sanjiv Goenka-Kl Rahul History of Public Spug
However, this is not the first time that LSG has criticized their social media post with the exception of KL Rahul. There is a history between Rahul and the Lucknow franchise. The LSG owner, Sanjiv Goenka, had shown anger on the right-handed seizure of live TV during the IPL 2024.
After that season, Rahul and LSG separated, with the Karnataka star joined Delhi Capitals at Delhi in the IPL 2025. In the meantime, Rahul was the very first captain of the Lucknow Super Giants and led them to two Playoff performances in a row in the Cash-Rich T20 League.
Sanjiv Goenka’s heated exchange with Rahul in the public, however, ended their association. In anticipation of the IPL 2025 season, Rishabh Pant came to LSG from Delhi Capitals for a massive INR 27 crore at the auction and was made captain. But the change in leadership did not improve the fortunes of the team.
LSG finished seventh in the point table, and Rishabh Pant struggled with the bat for the most of the tournament and only found shape in the last group phase match. Rahul in particular joined Delhi Capitals for no less than 14 crore on the IPL 2025 Mega Auction.
