Martin Fitzwater is on a mission to become the 2026 Mr Olympia
“The Martian” lived up to his name at the Prague Pro by putting forth an otherworldly physique that presented muscular fullness, combined with the coveted conditioning that legends of the past craved. Fitzwater says he has been working on his confidence over the past year by finding his flow on stage.
After beating Chris Bumstead in Prague last year, Fitzwater was set to face the 2024 Mr Olympia, Samson Dauda, this year, but he still came out on top. “The coolest, calmest and most collected I have ever been on stage,” explained Fitzwater about his epic performance in Europe. “I also know that the physique I bring now is something very, very dangerous. Samson Dauda is on the road to redemption
Nigerian Lion, Samson Dauda, was the king of the bodybuilding jungle after winning the 2024 Mr Olympia competition, but he admits that dropping too much weight to streamline his physique led to a heartbreaking fourth-place finish in 2025. In the two weeks between the Olympia and the Prague Pro, Dauda was able to pack on some serious pounds and a lot present a more competitive image on the evening, but he will have to settle for second place. takes place thanks to Fitzwater’s breathtaking performance. Keone Pearson makes his open debut
Keone Pearson, a three-time 212 Olympia champion, had been toying with making his Open debut for a while, so all eyes were on “The Prodigy” in Prague. That night he managed one impressive fourth place behind Martin Fitzwater, Samson Dauda and Michal Krizanek.
“The goal was to see how I do against the bigger guy, and let me tell you, I hold my own up there!” Pearson wrote via Instagram after the show. “I love the work and I’m going to keep working, you better believe that.”
Terrence Ruffin kept his composure during a classical masterclass
Terrence Ruffin put in an eventful performance in the Classic division in Prague after a technical error caused his routine to be abruptly cut short too early. Fortunately, he got the chance to fully complete his presentation and impressed the audience in the process. After finishing third in the Classic division at the 2025 Olympics just two weeks ago, “Ruff Diesel” took first place in Prague and will likely pose a huge threat to current Olympian Ramon Rocha Queiroz.
Prague will be a crucial competition on the way to Olympia
The EVLS Prague Pro proves that, rather than resting after the Olympia, competitors are more eager than ever before to set the tone for the year ahead. In the Open division, the field became as unpredictable as ever as Dauda was back in the hunt and Fitzwater stamped his authority on the event, while newcomers like Brandon Pearson and Michal Krizanek also made their presence felt. Also that evening, Yinka Majolagbe achieved his best result yet after winning the 212 division, and Emile Walker won the Men’s Physique trophy. The full list of winners was as follows:
