The title wants to be a tribute to the last retrospective dedicated to Robert Rauschenberg, a hundred years after birth.
From 4 to 6 April, a renewed team of curators and professionals will animate the spaces of Allianz Mico in Milan. The artistic direction of Nicola Ricciardi will witness a perfect combination of local specificity and internationality of the proposals, which promotes dialogue between leading Italian realities and some of the most important foreign galleries.
By three sections – Set -up“ Come up“ Portal – Miart shows off projects that retrieve art history for more than a century, ranging from the masterpieces of the first and second twentieth century to the works related to the nearest relevance, without neglecting the author’s design and to switch on a profitable dialogue between sculpture and painting, drawing and installation, video and photography.
There will be a total of 179 galleries on the stock exchange from 31 countries and 5 continents.

At his entrance, the visitor is welcomed by the section Come up25 galleries that give a look at experimental contemporary practices. The curator Attilia Fattori Franchini has developed an ambitious part between compelling installations, location -specific and large -scale works, new works made ad hoc for the fair and aimed at a look at the most stimulating contemporary practices.
The main area, entitled Set -upproposes a selection of great masters of modern art and contemporary practices, with dialogues between artists who are also of different generations, only shows and museum projects with the most important artistic movements of the last century. This phase also includes the project Time -capeA thematic path that accompanies visitors to the masterpieces of the early twentieth century.
For the first time compiled by Alessio Antoniolli – director of Triangle Network in London and curator of the Memmo Foundation in Rome – Portal Finally, it combines ten galleries for as many projects by inviting the public to question his vision of languages, regions and permanent temporality.
In this section the identity of Miart – under friendsAs the title remembers – and the visionary approach of Rauschenberg that conceived art as a collective process is even clearer. By refusing a univocal vision of the world, this part prefers dynamic processes and interconnected paths that strive for greater cooperation and harmonious coexistence.
In addition to proposing an extraordinary selection of galleries and exhibition projects, Miaart has been enriched with projects consistent with the theme of the edition that improves the value of the collaboration, which translates into a lively program of initiatives, prices and acquisition funds.
The collaboration with the Intesa Sanpaolo Group will be renewed this year, which supports the event as the main partner. In the lounge of the bank, visitors to Miaart can admire the masterpiece of Robert Rauschenberg Blue outputof the series Combine painting, who attributed the American master between protagonists of Great International Contemporary Painting.
