Everton FC baptized the full capacity of his impressive new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock in a friendly against Roma on Saturday. It gave more fans the opportunity to see the new facility and also gave them a look at some of the new players who recently signed the club in the summer transfer window.

This was the third test event in the stadium, which will be known for SponsorSorDadion as the Hill Dickinson Stadium after the club had signed a long -term agreement with Liverpool -based law firm, announced in May.

Everton is about to play his first season on this new site on the banks of the Mersey River, after he played his Last season in Historische Goodison Park -Huis in 2024/25.

The novelty was not limited to the location. There was also a fresh sense of Everton on the field. Although the game ended 1-0 for the visiting side, after a second half goal by Roma Vooruit Matías Soulé, there were some promising signs of a few new signing sessions from the Toffees.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who drew from Chelsea last week for a transfer costs of $ 35 million, was the striking player in this friendly match. He looked well and tidy owned and also created opportunities from his position in midfield behind rush hour.

This role has become a key in the 4-4-1-1 formation Everton mainly used in the second spell of David Moyes at the club, and although he has not had much time with his new team, Dewsbury-Hall slots are entitled to it.

His link with the new striker Thierno Barry brought anything but a goal and was a sign of encouragement for Everton supporters.

Barry showed the possibility to run into the channels and keep the ball up when needed. He drew an early show of appreciation from the new extensive Everton -Thuis public, donated the ball past Daniele Ghilarrdi to bypass the Roma defense and create a dangerous attack.

Dewssbury-Hall set him up for the best chance of the first half, but he did not succeed in making the right connection when trying the shot at the end of the move. The crowd still appreciated the promising movement and the pass.

Barry became the provider at the beginning of the second half and fed Iliman Ndiaye, whose shot wide from the pole.

Ndiaye was the best player of Everton last season, and although he had trouble getting involved in the first half, he shows a glimpse of his quality in moments in the rest of the game.

He and Dewsbury-Hall offer similar things that Everton should serve well. Security in possession, creativity and a little deception that defenders can get out of the game.

The club is linked to A movement for Jack GrealishBeing able to offer those similar things, so it will be interesting to see where they all fit in the plan of Moyes. With today’s evidence, Dewsbury-Hall and Ndiaye both justify a place in the strongest XI in Everton.

Everton suffered a blow when left back vitalii Mykolenko left the field with just ten minutes. He grabbed the injury in a tackle just before he realized that he could not continue. The replacement of Mykolenko, Adam Aznou, the 19-year-old summer signing from Bayern Munich, struggled for a large part of his time before he was replaced later in the second half by Seamus Coleman. Everton will hope that the injury of the Ukrainian is not too serious.

Everton refused noticeable after Dewsbury-Hall and Barry were left just after the hour, and part of the energy went out of the competition.

However, it gave Jordan Pickford some goalkeeper exercise, and he made a few very good saves, but he could not stop Matias Soulé to give Roma the victory.

This was even a test, even for the new stadium, just as good as a run-out for the team, and the stadium did well, with fewer problems around public transport after the competition, as was the case at previous test events. This was perhaps helped by the staging of a Legends match immediately after the main event, which meant that outputs were more spread and there were less in line at nearby train stations.

The real test for the stadium and the team will be here in the first competitive game, which will be played against Brighton in the Premier League on 24 August, after Everton has played his season opener against Leeds United on Elland Road on August 18.
