We came across a Reddit -Thread who romantized the Mazda Miata ND2, and given the driver has experience with the Cayman GTS 4.0 and Cayman GT4 RS, it certainly attracted attention. Mazda has always been a sleeper brand, especially the Miata. Thanks to this person’s turhoushous, we now have a better perspective on the whole thing. To make a long story short, the Miata checked each box for this person, who also drove a lot of luxurious/foreign cars, and the ND2 worked specifically to be a good employment model. Backroads and daily driving are where the Miata ND2 stood out on this reviewer, and he thought it was so great that he probably gets one for his garage. NOICE. Okay, further and up. Keep reading!
Hello Mazda, goodbye Porsche
It is clear that I only partially mean this (or I …), but the Mazda Miata is a slender, sexy sports car that often falls between the cracks. Thanks to a stranger on Reddit with a Miata ND2 RF rented by Turo, we experience his PUV first hand of what happened. To give you the whole picture, the person who controls this Miata is an experienced owner of sports cars, and his collection includes/has a Porsche Cayman GTS 4.0/Cayman GT4 RS. On the road during this rental party, the Miata shifted easily, had an easy-to-use link (even in bumper-to-bumper traffic), and the pedal distance was reasonable. It took a bit to adjust to heel toe, but he was fine by day two.
Advantages weigh heavier than the disadvantages and from an old Porsche owner, that is great news for Mazda.
Mazda Miata: De Hype Waard/needs more hype
Continue, this Redditor emphasizes the sensation of the behind the wheel of the Miata, plus that he does not agree with critics who say that staring at this car sucks, and claims that the top-down mode made the experience even more “compelling”. He did notice that most people just ignored him in the car while they would drop their jaws if he was in the Porsche, but that was expected. Anyway, the Miata does not have to make too much noise to be a good ride. The driver also notes that he had enough torque in the Miata ND2 to start the party, and noted that “never at any time in the weekend” felt that he needed more power.
Tl; DR: Man rents out a Miata ND2 RF from Turo, falls in love with it, cheats his Porsche Cayman. Would do it again.
Don’t beat it until you literally try it
The Mazda Miata is a beast. Rather. Maybe not a beast, but definitely worth a look. No, it is not as smooth/impressive as the Porsche Cayman, but I never said it was. If you are looking for something that feels smooth but powerful to handle, either about long or short distances, and you are in the mood for a top-down experience, I say go for the Miata. This also applies to the man on Reddit who started this whole anger in the first place.
