The two biggest guns of the world’s richest harness racing bay of Biscay (There are some everywhere) and Fighter Command (Always B Miki) Interstate will go to perform their preparations for Saturday night.
The Victorian trained couple leads the gamble for the $ 2.1 million tab Eureka, which is only five weeks away at Menangle on 6 September, at $ 3.50 and $ 5 respectively respectively
Bay of Biscay was nominated for racing in Melton and Menangle, but co-trainer Emma Stewart confirmed that the car of fire winner would lead the Interstate for the Sydney Race.
The prospect of a race of 2300m on the menangle – the same job and distance as the Eureka tab – was more attractive than a sprint from 1720 meters with less prize money at Melton.
Bay of Biscay, who flashed home for a blissful second for the subsequent Miracle Mile and Inter Dominion winner Don Hugo in Tab Eureka last year, is the first Pacer to tackle the race twice.
The Eureka tab is limited to three and four-year-old Australically bred Pacers.
This year, connections focused on Tab Eureka and an early lock by WA -Fokgigant Rob Watson’s Soho Standardrs.
The Bay of Biscay team even refused an invitation to walk in the $ 1 million Wonder Mile in March, which came after winning the chariots of Vuur a week earlier.
“If all goes well, we will try the Miracle Mile next year, but we first want to win the Eureka tab,” said managing owner Tim Bunning at the time.
Bay of Biscay, who has 11 victories and seven seconds from just 22 starts, has only raced once since his car from Brand on March 1 Win. That was for a scary victory, albeit in a smooth time, on Melton on 28 June.

Fighter Command goes in a different direction on Saturday evening for the $ 80,000 Beautide in Hobart.
The four-year-old four-year-old won the Beautide, which brings a golden ticket in the tab with the tasracing slot last year.
Tubbs described the race as the “first step in the direction of redemption” after the Jager command was brought down with a twisted intestine, just a few days from last year’s tab and almost died.
“We built it slowly and steadily and with everything aimed at this race (the beautiful),” Tubbs said.
“After what happened last year, we didn’t look further this week, but hopefully he wins and we can.
“Herbie (the most important driver James Herbertson of Australia) is locked up for Hobart, so we are ready to go.”
Fighter Command had almost six months away from the track after the twisted intestine, but he returned with eight starts for two wins, a second, a third and two fourths.
So far, only Bay of Biscay (Soho Standardrs) and hesitation (John Singleton) have confirmed runners in the Tableka.
