Eric Dane reveals the devastating effects of being as a diagnosis.

The alise of the “Gray’s Anatomy”, 52, spoke about his health struggle “Good Morning America” Monday in his first interview since his diagnosis and Diane Sawyer says that he now has only ‘one functioning arm’.

“My left side is functioning, my right side has completely stopped working,” Dane explained. ‘[My left arm] go. I may have a few months more and I will not have my left hand either. It’s sobering. “

Dane revealed that he began to have symptoms of the neurodegenerative disease that influences muscle movements a year and a half ago when he had weakness in his right hand. He underwent nine months before he received his diagnosis in April.

“I didn’t really think about it at the time,” Dane told Sawyer, 79. “I thought I might be too tired of texting if my hand was tired, but a few weeks later I noticed that it was getting a little worse.”

“So I went and saw a hand specialist who sent me to another hand specialist,” he remembered. “I went and saw a neurologist and the neurologist sent me to another neurologist and said:” This is far above my wage rate. “

“I will never forget those three letters,” said Dane about receiving his as -diagnosis. “It’s on me as soon as I wake up. It’s not a dream.”

The star “Marley & Me” also told the time that he lost functionality in his legs as he snorkeled, which led to one of his daughters to save him.

“She dragged me back to the boat,” said Dane. “I had broken something like that in tears. I made sure she came back to the water with her boyfriend and continued snorkeling. I was just deeply sad.”

Dane shares two daughters, Billie Beatrice, 15, and Georgia Geraldine, 13, with his wife Rebecca Gayheart.

The couple married in 2004. Gayheart, 53, presented a divorce in 2018, but in March, only a month before Dane revealed his diagnosis, she rejected the divorce.

Dane was suffocated when he noticed Gayheart’s support on “GMA” and said he talks to her every day.

“We have succeeded in becoming better friends and better parents,” he shared. “She is probably my biggest champion and my most loyal supporter. And I lean on her.”

Dane continued to say: “I fight as much as I can. There is so much to my control. I am angry. I am angry because, you know, my father was taken from me when I was young and now there is a very good chance that I will be taken from my girls while they are very young.”

“At the end of the day I just want to spend time with my family and work a little as I can,” he added. “They are loved. They know.”

Despite being as a fight, DANE continues to film the season of “Euphoria”. He has been playing Cal Jacobs in the HBO series since 2019.
