Vaughan opined that England have a better spin bowling attack than India and highlighted Varun Chakaravarthy’s inconsistency. He then named the spin trio of Liam Dawson, Adil Rashid and Will Jacks as the best in the competition.

The 51-year-old also praised England’s fielding and their running between the wickets. India, on the other hand, dropped a lot of catches during the tournament. Abhishek Sharma dropped two regular catches in the last match against West Indies.
“England’s fielding was absolutely exceptional. They look very alert. England’s running between the wickets was exceptional. The small percentage of things you can control, England seem to be doing very well.”
Vaughan believes England could come up trumps against defending champions India in the much-awaited knockout match.
“I just have a strange feeling that England can get the job done in Mumbai,” concluded the cricketer-turned-pundit.
England did not have a great performance in the group stage as they lost to the West Indies and had to toil hard to beat inexperienced teams like Nepal and Italy. However, they peaked during the Super 8, winning all three of their matches against Sri Lanka, Pakistan and New Zealand. Brook and Co. are currently on a five-match winning streak.
