Just half an hour into their 336-run defeat against India at Edgbaston, Team England added pacer Gus Atkinson to the squad for the third Test at Lord’s, starting on July 10. The addition could be a result of various factors — Brydon Carse is nursing a toe issue, Josh Tongue wasn’t the best and even, Jofra Archer might not be in the best shape to play as yet.

Meanwhile, Gus Atkinson is also coming back to the squad after he had suffered a hamstring injury in the last Test against Zimbabwe in May.
