Endrick writes Lyon history with hat-trick against Metz – Soccer News

Endrick made Ligue 1 history on Sunday with Lyon’s 5-2 win over Metz, becoming the youngest player in the club’s history to score a hat-trick.

The victory gave Lyon some breathing space in fourth place in the table, with Ruben Kluivert and Tyler Morton also on the scoresheet for Paulo Fonseca’s side.

Endrick joined Lyon on loan from Real Madrid in December for the second half of the 2025/26 season and has announced himself in style, scoring four goals in his first three games for Lyon in all competitions.

It is the best start by a player for the club since Mariano Diaz scored three times in the same period in August 2017.

And at 19 years and 188 days, Endrick is the youngest Lyon player to score a hat-trick in Ligue 1, surpassing Bernard Lacombe (19 years and 196 days).

In the 21st century, only Jeremy Menez in January 2005 (17y 260d), Kylian Mbappe in February 2017 (18y 53d) and Ousmane Dembele in March 2016 (18y 296d) have done this at a younger age than Endrick.

Not only that, but the teenager also became the 25th Brazilian player to score a league goal for Lyon.

Endrick had six shots on target against Metz, the joint-highest total for a player at the top flight club since Opta started analyzing the competition (2006-07 – Alexandre Lacazette vs Monaco in May 2016).
