Emmanuel Petit expects Ruben Amorim Manchester United to leave soon

Emmanuel Petit expects Ruben Amorim Manchester United to leave soon

Manchester United needed a stopping time penalty against Burnley last weekend to achieve their first Premier League victory of the season in three attempts, and to ensure that their campaign did not get going with four straight winless results.

After a defeat against Arsenal and earlier in August against Fulham, Grimsby Town hit the Red Devils from the Carabao Cup, a result that was met by words by Ruben Amorim who called for doubts about his future in Old Trafford.

In the aftermath of the Burnley match and with two weeks to the next MAN United competition because of the international break, Emmanuel Petit believes that the days of Ruben Amorim in the club have already numbered. He said (H/T Talksport),),,

“To be honest, I don’t see him staying in Manchester United. I think the international break will decide whether it will remain or not. That is my opinion.”

Amorim is confronted with a similar dressing room as its predecessors

It is unlikely that Ruben Amorim will be dismissed by Manchester United so early in the season, especially in view of the fact that it is at the expense of a huge package of dismissal, a liability that the club has not currently positioned best.

The Portuguese were reasonably well supported in the transfer window, but his recent media answers suggest that the dressing room is still in disorder, and the lack of dedication of his players is the main problem.

In reality, a team like Manchester United should not require the best of their coach’s tactical interventions to overcome a Grimsby Town side, who had gave birth to their top doeding scorer for the game and had played four divisions among them.

The performance of United against Arsenal in the opening match of the season was promising, but the inconsistent versions of the team were there for everyone to see, because they did not have Fulham in the lady in the following game.

In the past few seasons, the coach has been made the scapegster in Manchester United and it seems that Amorim may have the same fate if the real responsibility is very possible in the dedication of the players and the financial goals of the board.

It will be interesting to see how much patience Amorim has with Man United, but it is hard to think that for their match against Manchester City the Red Devils would have another coach after the international break as Emmanuel Petit suggested.
