Paris-Emma Raducanu admitted that he felt exposed after a humiliating loss of the second round for defending the French open champion Iga Swiateek during her first performance at the Hof Philippe Chatrier, but the Brit said that the experience had not demotivated her.
Raducanu won her Maiden Grand Slam title as a teenager in the US Open while playing in the Cavernous Arthur Ashe Stadium and has participated in the most important showcourts on the Australian Open and Wimbledon in the past.

On the first stage of Roland Garros on Wednesday, a totally different challenge for the 22-year-old, who also felt a bit uncomfortable during her 6-1 6-2 defeat in the second round by four times winner Swiatek.

“It was a very difficult match. Iga played very well. It was difficult. At the start of the game it was pretty tight. While it continued, she grew in confidence. I just felt a bit exposed,” Raducanu told reporters.
“It was the first time it played a match on that field. It is also different when it is filled and it has everything around. You feel that it is a big court. It is … new to me.

“It is an environment where she is clearly very comfortable and she has often played in it. I think that my feeling has emphasized a bit uncomfortable. But it is a good experience for when I ever play in that court again.”
Raducanu will go back to the drawing table prior to her favorite grass season and said she felt positive after she had enjoyed her best run of the year after she reached the quarter -finals on the hard courts of Miami in March.
The road has not been easy for Raducanu, who has struggled with form and fitness issues since her Grand Slam Triumph and has worked with a series of different coaches without any real success.
“I don’t feel demotivated,” she said.
“I feel that since Miami I really started building some momentum compared to where I came from at the beginning of the year and it just wants to stay free through a few days and then get on the grass.”
