Summary of the position
The Assistant Men’s Tennis Coach is Responsible for Specifically designated aspects of the Men’s Tennis Program, Exercises Independent Judgment in Providing Technical Expertise in the Fundamentals of the Sport, Teaching Student-Athletes Basic and Advanced Skills, Tennet Men’s Team Men’s Team Men’s Team men’s Development, Fund-Raising, Promotional Activities, and Related Assigned Responsibilities. The assistant coach guides and the student athletes of the mentor during the academic year.

Minimum required education and experience
Bachelor’s degree required.
Preference Education and experience
At least two years of experience in coaching at intercollegial level is preferred, but extensive player experience at a collegial level can be replaced by the coaching experience. Every coaching experience in an NCAA Division I -level program is preferred. Demonstrable knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations for recruitment, suitability and related functions is required.
Tasks
- Makes a high-quality, competing tennis program for men and supports the educational goals of individual student athletes by showing a coaching philosophy that encourages those goals and promotes an environment that promotes for both.
- Presupposes the responsibility for a certain aspect of the tennis program for men as assigned by the head coach, planning short and long conditions objectives led by the head coach, demonstrating technical expertise in the basic principles of sport and the teaching of the Fundamentals and advanced skills and game strategies.
- Protects the integrity of the men’s tennis program and the reputation of the University Intercollegiate Athletics Program by complying with the National Collegial Athletic Association (NCAA) rules and regulations, as well as applicable conference rules and university policy and university policy measures with regard to recruitment activity.
- Participates as a member of the university community by giving suitable courses or class sessions, as required.
- Contributes to the general success of the University Intercollegiate Athletics Program by performing all other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the head coach.
