EHL: Bloemendaal Retain ABN AMRO Cup

Teun Beins’ Double against his former club saw Bloemendaal win the ABN AMRO Cup for the second year in a row while they defeated Oranje-Rood 2-0 in the final.

They came through the first group stage for Schaerweijde and Klein Switzerland before beating Rotterdam in the Semis to set the final date.

Beins shot in the first corner in the half hour and again in the second half from a different angle, because Bloemendaal was also able to give the first performances to new arrival Marco Siltkau and Sheldon Scouten.

They won the title in the absence of Zach Wallace and the somewhat injured Belgian Arno van Dessel, also new for the club.

Bloemendaal head coach Michel van den Heuvel was also gone; He currently combines his job as a club coach with coaching the national team of the Chinese gentlemen, who participated in the Asian Cup.

His assistants, Teun de Nooijer – back on his old stamping – and Piotr Mazany were on the sidelines.

For this season, Elian Mazkour is another addition to the Bloemendaal-Outfit, which switches from Rot-Weiss Köln.

On the debit side, Nathan Ephraums (Australia) and Marc Miralles (Real Club de Polo) returned home, while Yannick van der Drift (HBS), Floris van der Kroon (HDM) and Lars Leistra (SCHC) have also continued.

Bloemendaal plays in the EHL in October, where they were pulled Banbridge against Irish side in the KO16 and will then hope to go to a KO8 match against Oude Georgians or HC Olten.
