Alexander Isak questions asked to Eddie Howe.
It would always be the case.
Eddie Howe left to answer the tough Alexander Isak questions after the statements during the week.
In addition to training and managing the players/team, the NUFC head coach is the only one who currently speaks on behalf of the club. Indeed, with very rare exceptions, this has always been the case, the club stacks all responsibility at Eddie Howe.
He was again beautiful, Eddie Howe acted excellent with everything that he had thrown through the media on Friday, before Liverpool on Monday evening.
Such a nice line to step, the United Boss takes care of and respects the rest of his players, while at the same time keeping that door open to the Sweden International and a potential (very likely) returns to NUFC training and MatchDay Squadrons.
Eddie Howe asked how he felt about the inflammatory Alexander Isak statement on social media, who then forced the club to publicly answer it:
“Disappointment, with regard to these things that are made public.
“All these things should ideally be Face -Th -Face, Club and Player.
“It is (public statements) great for you (journalists), but it does not reflect well on us or Alex.
“It’s a sad moment and tries to tackle it all.
“The situation is regrettable.
“From the perspective of the club, they thought they had to act and answer.
“A case of needs must.
“The club spoke and rightly so.”
When Newcastle United made their public explanation in response to Alexander Isak’s, they made a few things clear.
The club stated that nobody in the club Alexander Isak had promised that he could leave this summer. However, they also said that they had taken into consideration of the wishes of Isak and have looked at whether a sale could be possible, but this turned out to be impossible. That is in fact due to being unable to bring in a credible replacement (as well as someone who was also needed for Callum Wilson), plus of course also on top of that, not a credible offer of a club, only the DIMPER £ 110 million offer from Liverpool:
‘Alex remains under contract and that a club official has never started that Alex can leave Newcastle United this summer.
‘We want to keep our best players, but we also understand that players have their own wishes and we listen to their opinion.
As explained to Alex and his representatives, we must always take into account the best interests of Newcastle United, the team and our supporters in all decisions and we have been clear that the conditions of a sale did not happen this summer.
We do not meet those conditions that are met. ‘
Eddie Howe accepts that there has been no potentially great Win scenario for Newcastle United with this Situation Alexander Isak:
“I think it is a loss/loss of the situation to a certain extent for us.
“I don’t think we can come out of this winning in every situation.
“That’s why I said all summer that it is such a difficult situation for the club to manage.”
Eddie Howe also asked if Alexander Isak told him before the end of last season that he wanted to leave this summer:
“Alex and I had conversations towards the end of the season.
“I’m not going to sit here and deny that.
“I have always said that individual conversations are better private.
“But we had conversations at the end of the season.”
Only because a player says he wants to leave does not mean that the club must sell it automatically. As it was made clear in the club statement, an ISAK sale was possible this summer, but no suitable replacement could be brought in and no credible offer for Isak. Although Alexander Isak may have told Eddie Howe that he wanted to leave, Eddie Howe clearly did not promise that a sale would certainly happen (nor anyone else at the club that promises this).
Eddie Howe asked if Alexander Isak could play for Newcastle United again and whether the other players would welcome him back:
“If Alex has to play for Newcastle United again, he must be fully dedicated.
“If you are going to select a team to play, the players must commit themselves to give their best performance.
“All other things around it? Things can change.
“I have had this so often in my career.
“A player may not be in a great place in a day, then they are there a few days later and ready to play.
“That is the beauty of people, we can all change our emotions and feelings fairly quickly.
“I hope I can work with Alex again and get it at its best again.”
