Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn spoke the recent comments from UFC CEO Dana White to become the ‘CEO of Boxing’ for Alvarez vs. Crawford.
We are days away from one of the biggest fighting in boxing history, while Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford are preparing for squares in Las Vegas. The event is promoted together by the Riyadh season and UFC CEO Dana White, who will launch its full move to the sport this weekend.
White has huge plans for TKO boxing. He has been extremely critical of the sport in recent years, called it ‘broken’ and needs desperate reform.
White’s move to boxing was well received by his promotional counterparts, including Eddie Hearn. But although White has been accepted with open arms, Hearn wants to prove that the goal of White to become the ‘CEO of Boxing’ is a far -fetched journey.
Eddie Hearn Spot the plans of Dana White to become the ‘CEO of Boxing’
During a recent interview with Charlie ParsonsHearn responded to the ambitious goals of White when promoting boxing.
“He wants to be the CEO of boxing? They try to let the Muhammad Ali act change. You won’t see me snails from Dana White,” Hearn said about White. “Not because I don’t want to get him up, because I respect him. The only thing I would really like, at this point in my career, is to give him the head.
“To hire him. I want to compete against Dana White, to prove that I am much better than he is like a boxing promoter. So I am excited that he is coming into space, but that does not mean that we will fall out by the way.
“The competition is fantastic, but you don’t get into boxing and the game steams. It just won’t happen.”
Hearn promotes some of the best boxers in the world; Including Anthony Joshua and Conor Benn. He was of the utmost importance in securing the long -awaited rivalry fight between Chris Eank Jr. And Benn earlier this year, as well as their upcoming Rematch.
