Former World’s Strongest Man Eddie Hall has given his thoughts on a possible clash with Dillon Danis next year.
As we know, Eddie Hall is a very big man – and as you can see from his title, he is also incredibly strong. After his days competing in strongman competitions, he went on to test the waters in combat sports. While he certainly hasn’t had a 100% success rate, he has managed to do some interesting things so far.
Looking ahead, there are rumors that Eddie Hall vs. Dillon Danis could legitimately happen sometime in 2026. Danis’ jiu-jitsu skills would go against Hall’s sheer size and strength, in a fight that, while entertaining for some, will likely completely deter many.
In a recent interview, Eddie Hall broke down the impending showdown with Danis.
Eddie Hall is looking ahead to a possible fight with Dillon Danis
“He’s a professional fighter,” Hall told the Disruptors Podcast. “He’s been doing it full-time his whole life. I’ve been doing it for a year and a half. … By the time you factor in the weight loss, his weight gain and the lap times, everything is clearly going to be in his favor. It’s going to be five-minute rounds. I have to give him more or less every advantage, because I have the biggest advantage, which is size and strength.”
“That makes it difficult. That makes it fun. That makes it a challenge. Losing weight to 135 kilos. I haven’t weighed 300 kilos since I was 21.”
“So at first glance it seems very unfair because he weighs 80 kilos (about 176 pounds) and I weigh 165 kilos. [approx. 364 pounds]Hall said. ‘Just listen to me. So on the surface it seems very unfair, but from what I understand he is walking around weighing almost 100 kilos (about 220 pounds) and as part of the stipulation I have to get under 300 pounds. So come on, there will only be about 35 kilos of difference. It is still a lot, but it is nowhere near 80 kilos.”
