Brad Kohler once fought for the Ultimate Fighting Championship in the pre-Zuffa era.Today he has big political ambitions in his home state. Kohler recently announced in a press release that he will run for governor of Minnesota.

From lowering the tree to lowering taxes

Kohler also promises to cut taxes while increasing funding for police, fire and peace officers to help emphasize public safety.

Now 61 years old, Kohler’s only Octagon appearance came at UFC 22 “There Can Be Only One Champion” on September 24, 1999, when he knocked out Steve Judson with a huge right hand in the opening 30 seconds. Kohler compiled a 12-15 record while fighting professionally from 1997 to 2012. Over the course of his career, he took on the likes of Dan Severn, Renato Sobral and Travis Fulton.
