The Colorado Eagles have officially reached an agreement with the city of Greeley about the most important conditions of a 40-year lease in a new arena within the development of Cascadia.
In the agreement, the Eagles will enter the ice for the first time in Greeley when the AHL starts the 2028-29 season, where Colorado continues to play its home games in Blue Arena until 2027-28.
“We are very enthusiastic to work with the city of Greeley to become the anchor tenant in this facility of World Class,” said Eagles owner and CEO Martin Lind. “While we are waiting for the completion of construction, we are happy that we can continue to entertain our fans in Blue Arena. We will continue to offer the same excellent experience that our fans have enjoyed for more than two decades and have been committed to make these last three seasons in Blue Arena our best so far.”
The New 8,600-Seat Arena is The Cornerstone of the Catalyst Project, An Entertainment District Planned for the West Side of Greeley, near the intersection of highway 34 and County Road 17. In Addition to the Arena’s Three Additional Ith Atheets A. Conference Center, Restaurants, As Well As Retail Space and Housing.
During the construction of the new facility, the Eagles Blue Arena will continue to call at home, planned with the team to play every home game in the Ranch complex in Larimer County during the 2027-28 season.
