Las Vegas-Middengege Damian Pinas put Vitor Costa away with a 1-2 as part of their confrontation on Tuesday, the lasting of just over 90 seconds to earn a UFC deal.

The victory means that Pinas now represents Aruba in the UFC, with “the Babayaga” that becomes the first to represent the Caribbean nation in the promotion.

“I dreamed about it, but now it is something that becomes reality. It feels so great to get a contract, to be a UFC hunter of Aruba, and I am ready to represent my people,” said Pinas (8-1) told media including cageside press after his fight at the UFC Apex. “It’s great, man.”

Now officially a UFC hunter, Pinas does not want to waste time and already requires a debut date. “I want to fight as soon as possible. I already asked Dana White to put me next week, but if that doesn’t happen, give me November, give me December, I don’t know.”

“Give me one date, because I want to make my debut so fast. Before the year closes, I want to fight another fight. Because I want to be the champion. I am here to be the champion; to be the champion, you have to fight, [be] Active and achieve some victories. “

Large cards such as the Madison Square Garden event of next month also appeal to Pinas. “That’s what I wanted,” he said.
