The Contender Series (DWCS) from Dana White is back for another year of action. Week 4 had the usual five-pack battles that we got to know and what we love. All promotion is available on ESPN+But you keep your eyes open here for all the results of the competition series that occur.

Tommy McMillan vs David Mgoyan

Round 1 – After a leg kick, Mgoyan shoots a Takedown and is immediately rolled through by McMillan. They return to the feet and we see it repeated, but this time McMillan fills and grabs a front head. He works for some smear rinsing, but they go back to the feet. This time on the feet, Mgoyan lands a right hand that McMillan seems to be anesthetized. They become hectic and Mgoyan also lands a rotating elbow. He pours it in search of a finish. McMillan seems to prevent some struggle and ends in a mounted guillotine that looks like it will end the fight. McMillan continues himself and works his way outside and survives the round. 10-8

Round 2 – McMillan seems to have been restored and comes from the first aggressive. After he has landed a bit, he gets Mgoyan to shoot and fills back to the front main lock. He works a few choke attempts, but not doing much. After his return to the feet, McMillan starts to find a home for his right. He fills another Takedown and lands a knee for a good measure. Mgoyan lands a bit, but seems late for the time being and it is certainly a McMillan round. McMillan 10-9

Round 3 – They both come out, knowing that they need the round. Both countries in the bag and Mgoyan catches a staircase. He tries to turn that into a Takedown, but ends with his back against the cage that a knee eats. Mgoyan lands to the body a few times. McMillan is starting to come up with his own combinations and the Jab Landt. Mgoyan is bloody and shoots on a Takedown. He has filled again and gets a few knees for his problems. The long straight rights works late for McMillan. He wounded Mgoyan, but does not have the time to finish it. These cards will be close. McMillan 10-9

Official result: Tommy McMillan def. David Mgoyan by majority decision (28-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Eduardo Henrique vs An Tuan Ho

Round 1 – The stairs are the name of the game early for Ho. He throws one at the top and then one on the body that gets a reaction from Henrique. Henrique Passive have his movement and stairs early. HO uses that to touch a rotating back reading and that becomes Henrique aggressive. Ho still lands the better from the shots and lets Henrique come across. Ho gets a body slot and grabs a Takedown to the top half. He lands a few shots before they climb to the feet. In a hectic Scramble, Henrique lands an illegal knee on a crashed ho, it seems to have been seriously damaged, but referee Gary Copeland misses it completely. HO works to survive the round, but the damage is clearly done and the jury members can score it as a legal shot. Henrique 10-9 (but only because of the illegal shot)

Round 2 – Copeland starts the second round by warning Henrique not to do it anymore. It seems that maybe it was a few minutes late. HO is the two strikers again to start the round. Henrique changes the aggression and leads to a shot from HO, which again ends in the upper half. They work and clamber and Henrique ends this time in the upper half. HO rolls back on his knees and works up again. Henrique wins the last scrambling and ends the round on top. Henrique 10-9

Round 3 – HO seems to be the aggressor back on the feet, but Henrique hits an outdoor trip and goes straight to his guard. He lands a bit of the guard, but control seems to be his primary care. Henrique goes to the side, but is immediately reversed. A judge elbow lands on the feet and then gets him his own journey. He lands from top, but Henrique is quickly finished. They clamber and HO gets the final top position. He should win the last round, but I don’t think it will be enough. Up to 10-9

Official result: the Tuan Hon by Unniusive Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

Mandel Nallo vs Samuel Silva

Round 1 – Nallo’s stairs lead the game early. Bone kicks and a front kick the chimney score for him. Silva gets frustrated by hitting and starts throwing a little more wild. The Jab van Nallo makes it difficult for Silva to get close. When he closes the distance a bit, we see the power he owns. He closes the distance again and is cut by a Mandel Nallo judge. It drops Silva and it’s all over.

Official result: Mandel Nallo Def. Samuel Silva by Ko (Punches) – Round 1 (3:29)

Theo Haig vs Cezary Oleksiejczuk

Round 1 – Jab left early for Oleksiejczuk and then a right hand. Haig shoots and misses completely. Oleksiejczuk hurts him with another straight and Haig grabs a leg. Oleksiekczuk lands a dozen Hammerfists on the side of the head and for some reason Gary Copeland mentions time -out. After he has handed over the repetition without errors, he mentions the fight as a KO.

Official result: Cezary Oleksiejczuk Def. Theo Haig by Ko (Hammerfists) – Round 1 (0:36)

Jack Congdon vs Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani

Round 1 – The two hunters feel each other out. Lebosnoyani has a bit difficult to enter the much larger Congdon. They trade in once and then Lebosnoyani touches a main kick that puts Condon on wobbly legs. He followed a huge right to put Congdon asleep.

Official result: Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani Def. Jack Congdon Van Ko (Kick and Punch) – Round 1 (1:08)
