The drone industry of India could help unlock to $ 23 billion to $ 23 billion by 2030, driven by fast-growing demand from sectors such as defense, agriculture, logistics and infrastructure, according to a new report released by NEXGEN exhibitions.The report, based on a survey among 150 drone companies in 15 Indian cities, emphasizes a strong increase in drone acceptance after the operation of India, which marked a turning point in the strategic use of drones by the country in terror activities, PTI reported.“Drones are now central to modern warfare, and the rapid deployment of India during Operation Sindoor indicates a new era,” noted the Nexgen report.Agriculture, defense leads the demand currentAlthough the defense remains an important engine of demand, 40% of the companies surveyed said that the agricultural and precision agriculture is expected to be the largest consumer in India by 2030. The report noted that the Global Agricultural Drone market is expected to hit $ 5.89 billion towards the end of the decade.The director of Nexgen Aadhar Bansal said that the indigenous drone adoption could considerably stimulate the make in India Push. “The world has seen the impact of drones during Operation Sindoor. Indigenous drones will strengthen national prosperity in various sectors,” Bansal said in a statement quoted PTI.To accelerate this momentum, Delhi organizes the Drone International Expo 2025 from 31 July to 1 August, organized by Nexgen. The event will contain more than 50 domestic and international drone manufacturers and exhibitors from six countries, including Russia, Taiwan, Canada, Ukraine and India.The research also showed that 20% of drone companies believe that Drone technology will transform National India over the next five years, especially through smart agriculture. Another 15% of the respondents marked the logistics and infrastructure as critical growth areas for drones.In addition to making precision agriculture possible, drones are increasingly being used in agriculture for monitoring the health of crops, supervision of theft and the prevention of wildlife animals, the report added.
